Sushi, rolls and desert made me give it 5 stars. Portions were small but the quality well made up for it. I don't usually get desert but had to try the red bean cake.
Awesome food and service was on point. -

I'm okay to believe this is on par with Yujiro, which makes sense given how Edokko is also owned by Yujiro.
I came here for lunch as I wanted to try their ramen. I had their shoyu ramen, with a side of negi hamachi maki for only $4. The ramen closely resembles the quality I got from Yujiro, which was easily the best in Winnipeg. Also for only $4 more, adding a 6-piece roll was easily of great value.
Unfortunately, the service was awful here during lunch. The place wasn't really that full for lunch, but it still took 20 minutes for the food to come out. The owner also seemed to be in a foul mood and was giving the employees a rather hard time.
If I'm not in a rush and am craving for ramen, I would come back here. However if you only have an hour lunch on weekdays, don't expect to make it back on time if you dine here. -

Good food, nice ambiance, and the staff is nice, tho not particularly engaging. Service time could stand a bit of improvement - there we're not that many customers and the wait to get my food and them to get my plates cleared was a little long.
If you're looking for good sushi, this is definitely a good choice. -

What an unexpected surprise! This place has been down the street from us for two years and we've never been once!
The happy hour special is incredible. A large selection of varied delicious items for 3 for $14. The Sapporo is on tap for $5.50 during happy hour and all night on Jets home games. There are TVs to watch the game if you sit in the lounge. If you're sitting in the lounge, it does get REALLY hot so Don't come overdressed.
The food is way beyond what we expected and the staff is friendly. We highly recommend this place which for some reason never seems to be busy when we walk by.
If you're heading to the hockey game, this will be one of the few close locations that won't have a wait so check it out! -

Absolutely delicious! This is the 4th time I/we've been here. Found this place on a trip to Winnipeg while staying blocks away at the Fort Garry Hotel.
On this occasion my reservation of 6 quickly turned into a party of 12 once some local friends heard we were going there. The restaurant as busy as they were, were totally accommodating. The staff was super friendly and our server Colby was exceptional taking care of a big party like this.
I'm def a nigiri/sushi person, not into a lot of sauces, etc. I want great fresh fish and seafood and chef Masa delivered "swimmingly".
Delicious scallops fresh from Japan, Uni from British Columbia, salmon from Alaska, Ireland and Norway, spectacular Toro and this was just a small portion of all the offered delicacies that came beautifully presented. I live in NYC and this place stands up to best and is better than most. Def going back every time I'm in Winnipeg and so should you!
